About your facilitator:
Hi, I’m Newman. I’m not here because I have everything figured out. I’m here because I’ve lived through enough to know how important it is to be honest about the ache. You know, life!
In truth, we are unique. Still, we share more in common than what makes us different. I’ve experienced deep grief, spiritual disconnection, and the quiet exhaustion of trying to belong in places that couldn’t hold the whole of me. I’ve performed when I didn’t want to, stayed silent when I should’ve spoken, and spent years trying to reconcile a faith that often didn’t seem to have space for my full humanity. Sound familiar?
Over time, I’ve come to understand that clarity doesn’t come from fixing yourself. It comes from releasing the need to perform and learning how to walk with God in a way that honors your true self. I believe deeply that God’s love does not require us to split ourselves in two. I don’t believe we were made as halves looking for completion — we are already whole, already capable of reflecting the Divine.
Our uniqueness is not a flaw, it’s a feature. It’s part of how the image of God expresses itself through each of us. And while some parts of our path are chosen, others are not, the invitation however remains the same: to walk with God, not as a performance, but as a relationship. That’s where resistance often shows up — and where the deepest transformation can begin.
I’m a certified grief recovery specialist, a lifelong creative, and someone who values honest conversations over religious theater. My life has been shaped by decades of community work, family-centered connection, ministry, and advocacy. I’ve been celebrated and overlooked, embraced and misunderstood, but I’ve never stopped believing that faith and personal truth can coexist.
And I’m still on that path. This is my journey too — one of unfolding, unlearning, returning, and beginning again. Sharing this space with you, learning from your experiences as I share mine, is one of my greatest joys.
I’m grateful to walk this path and invite you to come along.
This space, A Path to Spiritual Clarity, isn’t about having the right answers. It’s about honoring real questions, lived experiences, and the desire to walk in relationship with God without denying any part of yourself.
I’m grateful to walk beside you here.
